Fun Days In School

Although spring is here there's still lots of rainy days and time for indoor learning.  So here's a few things that we've been doing on those not so sunny days!
We have spent some time exploring and learning about the different instruments and the noises that they can make.

We have baked lots of different yummy snack time foods for ourselves!  It was yummy.

We were looking at how many different colours we could find in our courtyard, we also tried to find lots of different kinds of bugs!

We learnt about different materials and how when you mix them they can change and create something new... even planets!

We also did lots of science experiments, we made lava lamps in lots of different colours and saw lots of different amounts of bubbles.  We also tried to explode some bags by making reactions in them!

Our Class Adventures

We've had a term of mystery bus drives!  We've managed to explore and investigate lots of new places and had so much fun while we have been doing it!  Here's some pictures of some of our trips out... can you guess where we've been?

We enjoyed a visit to the woods... and on the way back found a climbing wall, it was exciting to see how high we could climb!

We have also visited a lovely place with bluebells and a stream, it made us very happy!

We even found a handy bench of have our snack.

Last week we climbed a really high hill.  We were excited to get to the top and explore what was up there (a very old stone tomb) so some of us ran up!  We were quite tired that afternoon.

Spring is here!

A few weeks on and lots of fun learning to write about!

We have made our own sensory balloons which were great fun to make but even better to feel, squish, step on and weigh.  We brought the outside in with some grass in our classroom - but for some reason it doesn't seem to need cutting!

We have learn what happens when you mix different materials together and we have been exploring all the different things you can do with the mixture.

More excitingly though spring has arrived which has meant that we are finally getting more time to go outside and explore what is happening (as well as getting to play).

New Term and New Teacher!

A new term and a new teacher for P1/2/3!
We soon got to know each other though and this term has already
been filled with lots of fun new things to see and do.

Our first couple of weeks we had an ice tray.  We learnt lots about colour and shape and even experimented trying to melt the ice.

The ice made some very interesting patterns as it melted.

We have also had some great fun in the kitchen with some science experiments.

We have had some fizzy colour water and
we have even made some rain clouds.

And we also saw what happens when you mix milk, food coloured and fairy liquid.  It was great to learn how things react and mix things up.

Busy Week in Class 1/2/3

Our first week back after the holidays has been busy.  We took part in lots of different activities including making, doing and building.

Visit to Happy Valley

This week we went to explore Happy Valley.  It was very wet and there were lots of leaves on the ground so we had to walk very carefully.  We all enjoyed being at this special place.
